- Removes “um”, repeats and things you take back.
- Writes lists, numbers, emails and spoken punctuation (“comma”, “new paragraph”).
- Formal, casual or very casual, set per app: Mail formal, Slack casual.
- Your own words and names in the Dictionary, so they’re spelled right.
- Snippets, history with search, and transcription of audio files.
Install
- Open Murmur-0.6.dmg and drag Murmur into Applications.
- Open Murmur. macOS will say it can’t check the app (it isn’t notarized yet). Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
- Allow the microphone and Accessibility when Murmur asks (it needs Accessibility to type into other apps).
- On first launch Murmur downloads its two models (about 1.1 GB, once) and prepares them, which takes a few minutes. Until the cleanup model is ready, it types exactly what it heard.
